Although it may appear that participation of women in the labor force has increased significantly in recent times, but that is not the case – at least not at the global level. Even though the labor force participation rate for women aged 25-54 has undeniably increased from 67 percent in 1990 to 77 percent in 2021 in high-income countries, situation looks quite differently in all other income groups. According to estimates from the International Labour Organization (ILO), only 61.4 percent of women in prime working age were either employed or actively seeking employment globally in 2022, which is actually a small decline from 62.8 percent in 1990.
According to the report Women, Business and the Law 2023, recently published by the World Bank, there are only 14 countries in the world which agree on full legal protections to women. Among them are Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Sweden, as well as Germany and the Netherlands are the nations offering full equal rights for men and women, at least from a legal perspective.
Many Americans are picking up side hustles to earn extra income, and women are leading the path with data showing that 53% of women are more likely to take on a side hustle than men. In the unprecedented times of the global pandemic, we all have needed a way that we work. Followed closely by a member of another richest family, Alice Walton, the heiress of Walmart's empire is the world's second-richest lady. Along with her brothers, Walton owns more than half of Walmart's share, and she has a net worth of $68 billion.

It is common knowledge that males have always been the focal point for worldwide sports sponsorships, but the recent report suggests that unlike women, men do not spare their time to make consumer purchases. However, it is women and their extensive approach that manages to keep the world of marketing intact as only 20-30% of men engage in consuming sports products compared to 70-80% of women who are making a huge impact on the GDP of most countries.
