Years ago, women from Hong Kong and China used to dominate the list of the richest self-made female billionaires, but due to the ongoing turmoil in Chinese market for many years now, self-made women from Europe and the United States are back on top of the list of females who built their own fortunes. The richest of them was Rafaela Aponte-Diamant of Switzerland, as of June 2. She along with her husband are the founder of a shipping company MSC. They created this company in 1970 and both own a 50 percent stake in it. Their expanding business has given Aponte-Diamant a net worth of more than $28 billion. According to Forbes, she is also the seventh richest woman in the world and its 49th richest person overall.
As of March 2023, the richest person in the world is Bernard Arnault, as he and his family have a net worth of $214.4 billion. As the CEO, founder, and chairman of beauty empire LVMH, his has amassed his fortune after originally buying Christian Dior in 1985 for $15 million, and maximizing his profits.
According to a ranking published by Bloomberg last week, the Ambanis once again remain on the top of the list of the wealthiest families in Asia despite their recent losses, owing their riches to the Reliance Industries conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai. The rest of the top 10 of the rankings is a blend of different industries, countries and also some global household names.

and Hennessy. His wealth lies at a level that if he starts spending a dollar
each second (without adding further wealth and the dollar not inflating or
deflating), his current assets would still last him more than 5,000 years.
The Sunday Times announced the richest people based in the
UK. The list included the famous J.K Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series
and Elisabeth Murdoch, who is a British and American media executive based in
the United Kingdom. This list was revealed at the time when the majority of
Brits were feeling the burden of the cost of living crisis.
The billionaire brothers Sri and Gopi Hinduja made their
place at the top of the list. They are the owners of the Mumbai-based
conglomerate Hinduja Group. Report says that they own £28.47 billion together.
Other key names that make it to the list include the names like Rishi Sunak and
his wife Akshata Murty. Rishi SUnak is the Chancellor of the Exchequer and has
a ranking at 222nd position out of the list of 250 people. Sunak is
reportedly the richest serving MP in history and has a joint £730m of wealth.
