YouTube is experimenting with yet another interesting feature on its app, powered by AI. A new quiz option has been created to test users’ knowledge on various topics of their interest that they have explored on YouTube via educational videos. The functionality is also aimed at helping YouTube determine how well a video on its platform covers a given subject.

The quizzes, generated by AI, will appear on users’ YouTube Home feed, asking them questions relevant to the subject covered in a video that they recently watched. ”If you choose to take a quiz, a link to the recently watched video will appear under it so you can easily navigate back to learn more about the topic at hand,” adds YouTube.

YouTube is introducing its pre-publish checks tool on the mobile app, which it had first launched for the desktop version last year in March. The tool is designed to help creators ensure that their content is fully eligible for monetization and free of any violative issues before it is uploaded.

The tool assesses content for potential violations like copyright issues and ad suitability, so that creators can take necessary action towards any issue that is found. This will save them from the trouble of encountering these problems after their content is published, which often leads to penalties and reduction in money-making capacity.

The UK law bans the Chinese mobile phone company Huawei from involvement in 5G mobile networks. Along with the ban, the government threatens all the mobile phone companies with fines as big as 10% of their turnovers or more than £100,000 per day if they violate the telecom security rules. The Telecommunications Security Bill is likely to supervise the 5G mobile networks and includes the software and electronic equipment required to handle the phone calls and internet traffic.

At its annual developer conference in China, Vivo just announced its new Android based OS called OriginOS. The new operating system has been designed to mainly focus on widgets that are arranged in a grid-like layout and can update themselves with ‘'nano alerts’' notifications.

According to Vivo, the OriginOS has been developed keeping in mind three main factors: design, smoothness and convenience. The previously functioning OS of Vivo was called FuntouchOS.

OriginOS’ design sort of resembles Apple’s newly launched iOS 14, as the iOS 14 also features a grid-like display of widgets. Vivo’s actual inspiration for OriginOS’ layout is, however, more unique: Huarong Dao, the Chinese variant of Klotski sliding block puzzles.
