Google is making the process of searching the most relevant emails in your Gmail inbox easier. The company has utilized machine learning to show users ‘top results’ when they search for an email in the app.

The results, according to Google, will be the most relevant to a user’s search. “We’re introducing a feature that helps you find exactly what you’re looking for with less effort,” explains the company in a recent blogpost.

To get search results that best match your query on Gmail, you simply need to type in relevant keywords in the search bar. The results will appear in a separate section named ‘top results’ at the top of the list, followed by results listed from most recent to oldest. Hopefully, the feature will resolve the problem of having trouble finding specific emails or files more quickly.

Microsoft’s email client Outlook is now available for free on MacOS devices in the App Store. This means that users would no longer require the 365 subscription or Office license to access the platform.

In 2020, Microsoft had updated Outlook for Mac with a new design to align the app with the latest design changes in macOS, including the M1 and M2 chip integration. It also provides a macOS widget for calendar entries and a notification center support. Using the handoff with iOS functionality, MacOS users can resume their device activities from where they left them, between iOS and Mac devices.

In addition to Outlook accounts, Outlook for Mac offers integration of Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, and any email provider with an IMAP support.

Microsoft plans to add a menu bar peek tool to Outlook for Mac, which would enable users to take a quick look at their calendar entries directly from the main Outlook for Mac app. Additionally, support for Apple’s Focus experience with new Outlook Profiles is also expected to make its way to the app.

Eighty-five percent of all received emails are spam or phishing. Although it may usually seem to simply be an annoyance, the truth is that it can cost businesses thousands of dollars, or even cost the success of the entire business if the business is small enough.

Of course, the cost to businesses is also in time, money, customer retention, and productivity. The problem is that phishing emails are very easy to miss. They can be deceptive and easy to fall for. In fact, 19.8% of employees click phishing links, and 1 in 25 branded emails are phishing attacks.

First off, finding your dream job opportunity these days is rare and if you do luckily, the stress of how to apply to it persuasively keeps you up at night. This gets even stressful when you are totally unaware if the company has an open vacancy for your desired position so, how to inquire about that?

We recommend sending a cold email in which you ask them about the availability of your dream post even if it hasn’t been advertised. Now the main thing is the way you ask for it as strong communication and email skills win the race here. Nearly 80 percent of the jobs are not advertised whereas, around 85 percent of the employees get their favorite job through networking. But, what actually is networking? In simpler words, it is sending an on-spec email to the desired company.

How to Boost Conversion Using E-mail Automation in 10 Ways

Automated campaigning is the term that goes around a lot for email marketing, but what is it all about? Since it's automated, it saves a lot of time and ultimately saves cost too. Some companies are able to take advantage of automated e-mail marketing to such an extent, that they can just sit back and watch their revenues grow while relaxing.

But you have to be creative when designing the e-mails. Same old templates and subject lines are a big no. In fact, if you keep using them a lot, chances are that your e-mails will land in the spam folder instead of the primary inbox. While it's great to get an idea from other brands as to how they are designing emails for their business growth, branding is all about getting your own brand's image and vision out there.

The Brands Most Impersonated for Phishing Attacks

Phishing is one of the most common types of hacking. These phishing e-mails have links which when clicked, lead to shady and untrustworthy websites. It is via those websites that hackers try to retrieve your information. Not every Internet user has the sense or experience to detect these shady scam emails. The one reason that it can be hard to detect such emails at one glance is that they usually have usernames that are similar to the entity they are impersonating.

Say, if someone is new to the Internet and receives an email allegedly from Nokia, they might fall into the trap if they don't examine the e-mail address carefully and find 'Nokkia' instead of 'Nokia' written there. Big brands do not jumble up or fidget with the letters of their brand names, so that's a clear trap which gets overlooked by gullible people or those users that get carried away by what the e-mail contains, for instance, it can be a lottery.
