Data and email breaching have become extremely common, which causes loss or stealing of crucial data. According to the records, 3,800 breaches were recorded in the first half of 2019, which is estimated as 50% increase in the breaches since the past four years.

The data has been collected after sampling 212,000 email addresses provided by a trusted resource Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) and analyze how many of the email addresses had experienced data breaches.

Are email domains responsible for data breaching?


As per the infographic, emails having .com domains are most likely to be breached followed by the domain .uk; on the other hand, .us domain is the one having least number of breaches.

Just like email domains, more data was collected by comparing emails on the basis of email providers, country domains, length of an email address, gender, first name, role-based and presence of numbers in an email address which you can study in depth from the attached infographic.
