LinkedIn has finally introduced Dark Mode for its mobile and desktop versions. Dark mode has become a popular choice among social media users as it reduces strain on the eyes by limiting blue light exposure, and also appears cooler.

LinkedIn described two of the main elements that its Dark Mode is based on: accessibility and inclusivity. The accessibility aspect offers contrast ratios for better text legibility and user interface controls to accommodate the light to dark background contrast. The inclusivity of this feature contributes to bring together LinkedIn’s diverse communities by introducing dark mode versions of LinkedIn’s illustrations. The illustrations represent professionals of various backgrounds across LinkedIn.

Google just updated its mobile G suite apps. Among the changes, a dark theme has been added for Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Moreover, Docs on mobile will now have Google's Smart Compose technology and Microsoft Office documents can now be edited without having to convert them. Facebook is Bringing Dark Mode for Mobile

Facebook after rolling out dark mode for its desktop version is now working on a dark mode for its mobile apps as well. Social Media expert, Matt Navarra revealed that Facebook is working on this addition in a tweet. Facebook has made dark mode accessible to a small portion of its users globally and it is not certain when the platform will fully launch it.

The dark mode option for Facebook's desktop version is aimed to reduce glare, especially in low-light environments.

Given that Facebook-owned apps Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram got the dark mode some time ago, it is surprising that Facebook has not already launched it. Even Google and Twitter have released dark modes for their apps earlier.

The low-light and dark-mode options allow users to switch the themes of their app window to black, and it is not just famous because it is good for the eyes and that it is visually appealing to many people but because it also help users save their battery life.

If you have not already gotten the feature, wait around, it might reach you soon!
