Google just updated its mobile G suite apps. Among the changes, a dark theme has been added for Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Moreover, Docs on mobile will now have Google's Smart Compose technology and Microsoft Office documents can now be edited without having to convert them. Users will be able to experience a vertical scrollable slide view in Slides and will also be able to respond to comments on their documents directly from Gmail.
The idea behind most of these new additions is to bring existing desktop features to smartphone; the way Google has been rolling out G Suite tools before.
The dark theme is likely to get a lot of user-attention as it has been awaited for a while now. According to Google, dark theme won't just be a relief for the eyes but will also help to save battery, hence making battery life last longer.
At this point, working from home is no longer the strange new phenomenon that stirred up national attention a few months ago back in March. There are however many interesting aspects of this pandemic-spurred era of remote work according to a recently released report from an employment screening services and background check company named JDP.
JDP recently surveyed more than 2,000 Americans who typically work in offices who are now working from home full-time to try and learn more about how much they’re working, productivity levels, and whether or not they’re boss trusts them working remotely. The start of the survey analysis looked at comparing trends in what hours look like working in the office vs working remotely from home.
How much are you working during quarantine?
The first part of the analysis from JDP asked people who are now working from home full-time, how their hours compare to what they worked while in the office. The results were mixed. 42% actually reported working less than usual while at home. 33% said they were working more than usual while working from home during the pandemic. 25% said they were working about the same as usual.
If you’re working more, why?
For those that said they were actually working more hours during the pandemic, 49% of surveyed respondents said they found it hard to keep boundaries between work and home life while working from home. 42% of respondents said they were working more because they actually had more work to be done than usual. And then there were the people who said they were trying to be extra valuable at work and trying to provide value to the company as they were afraid of losing their job. 9% said that was the reason why they spent more time working during the pandemic.

Writing is a job that can drain you very quickly, and as a
writer myself, I can vouch for that. There are days when you are unstoppable,
whereas some days are dull, and you don’t want to write. If you are a writer
and your productivity is not up to the mark and cannot speed up your writing,
then you are missing the trick.
Writing a post takes a lot of brainpower and creativity to
make your post attractive. Writing faster when you are not in the right
headspace will not work, and you will end up with a tough time writing. You
need to have the right mental capacity to make it work. If this is a case for
you, you must adopt the proper writing habits to perform better.
You want to come with a new product or service idea for your business, but you're clueless of it being a hit. There are many ways to get innovative with your business and considering the bird-in-hand principle, that is, the resources you already have, it is up to you to figure out which one will be the best for you.
Everybody wants a breakthrough that can get their business to the top. Moreover, it is not just a one-way road. You have to consistently keep your customers and target market in mind. This is just one of the many approaches. You can also add complementary packages to the services and products you already provide. In this way, your offers will look more innovative and this will boost profit.
What is productivity for you? Using your skills and the resources around you, the tasks you manage on your own determine how 'productive' or 'creative' you are. Not essentially artistic, but being creative defines productivity. From the moment you wake up in the morning, you have the entire day in front of you and the first step towards being productive is having the big picture in mind.
The fast-moving world of today requires us that we manage our time effectively. Productivity is all about the balance you keep between quality and quantity. So it is not really about how fast you can do something, but actually about how much you are getting out of your own efforts. A lot of projects are timeline-based, and even one day where you lack in productivity can get the project off the hook.

Working from home is the new normal for many of us, and it’s been a bit difficult to adjust to the new environment, especially if you have small children or a sick member in the family. But it is possible to be productive while working from home too.
With time, most of us can learn to adjust to the new working schedule. However, time isn’t the only thing that can help your work from home situation better. You can follow some tips that are sure to turn your life around.
Choose a Dedicated Work Area
A dedicated work area will make it feel like you’re actually at home, and decrease the chances of you wandering around your house trying to get comfortable working. Pick a place with minimal distraction and sufficient desk space. Natural light helps too!
Choose a Colour Scheme that Inspires You
Colors can have a subliminal effect on our subconscious. Make sure you’re surrounded by happy, rich colors that can keep you on your toes (metaphorically speaking) and help you be more productive.

For years now remote working has been on the rise, with a younger workforce opting for more flexibility, and employers able to expand their talent pool by eliminating geographic restrictions. With Covid-19 however, many companies were forced to change to a remote working model overnight, leaving little in the way of preparation.
Studies have show time and time again that employees who work from home, without distractions or interruptions are simply more productive. With the right mindset, environment, and adjustment to the learning curve, any employee can make their remote working experience a positive one.
This infographic from 3CX details some of the benefits of working from home and some tips and tricks to ensure that you get the most productive experience possible.

So says the old proverb, often attributed to Benjamin Franklin. Of course, Franklin lived in a time before electric lighting, when staying up late meant burning the midnight oil and people had good reason to be productive during the daylight hours. Even so, at least when it comes to writing well, he may have been onto something.
Centuries later, with our homes illuminated by not only electric lights but also the glow of TVs, computers, and handheld devices, many of us have come to identify as either early birds or night owls. Early birds turn in at a reasonable hour so they can wake refreshed first thing in the morning. Night owls stay active long past dark and tend to sleep later.
