Facebook is launching a public test of dark mode for its main mobile app, after months of the feature’s testing phase. The company had earlier launched dark mode for all its other apps including Messenger, Facebook Lite, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Dark mode has become quite a popular option lately as a lot of users have become fans of it, and more and more apps have started to support dark mode now.

Apart from adding dark mode to its apps, Facebook had also introduced the feature within its desktop app refresh back in March.

The dark mode function in Facebook’s main app is set to roll out for all users over the next few months after Facebook is done with its full public testing.

As most people already know, dark mode is meant to be less straining on the eyes as you scroll. Other than that, a lot of users prefer it also because it looks cooler.
