You Can Now Use WhatsApp in Dark Mode

Here is some good news for all those who love dark mode, after months of testing Facebook has finally released dark mode for WhatsApp.

According to Facebook:

"Dark mode for WhatsApp offers a fresh look on a familiar experience. It’s designed to reduce eye strain in low light environments. And we hope it helps prevent those awkward moments when your phone lights up the room."

Dark mode has been the most wanted features as users insisted the company to launch it for quite some time. People were reluctant to find out when WhatsApp would launch dark mode after news broke out that the app is testing it.

A lot of people seem to love this new color scheme and irrespective of the appealing look, the dark mode has health benefits as well. The dark mode options significantly reduces blue light and improves redability in daylight. The blue light can shorten the production of melatonin in the brain which leads to sleep loss. And given the fact that many of us spend our time on the phone before going to sleep, it is important to consider the effect of cell phone usage has on our sleep cycle.
