Google is making its users' experience on Search easier with Activity Cards and updating them to highlight three main areas, namely jobs, recipes, and online shopping. Activity Cards will help users to pick up where they left off on Search to avoid the hassle of turning to Search again and again for the same query or topic. 


In the area of shopping, with Activity Cards, Search will now show products that a user has been researching, such as in an article. This will make it easier for users to compare products that they are interested in and help them decide what to purchase.

How to Choose and Cook Your Steak!

Let's talk about steak- a piece of meat which we get from the plump part of a bull, cow, ox - any animal that gives us beef. Neither too fat, nor too lean- that is what makes the perfect steak! Better yet, there are different types of steak to choose from. The basic difference is that a piece of steak either has a bone or is boneless. Also, to get the best out of any kind of steak, you should season it. By seasoning we mean that before cooking, you should sprinkle some salt and pepper on your meat to enhance its natural flavour. 

For the various steaks, the type of cooking also matters. You can either cook them 'blue', 'rare', 'medium-rare', 'medium' or 'well cooked'. 

Sirloin Steak: The sirloin comprises of both a tender and a tough part. The soft part comes from the lions, while the hard part comes from a section of the back. Recommended ingredients for seasoning this steak include olive oil, pepper and a pinch of salt.

T-Bone: It is derived from cutting through the short loin and sold along with bone. The T-Bone has two kinds of steak in it: tenderloin and sirloin. The time for medium-rare is around 7 minutes for one side, and 4 minutes for the other.

Bavette: Also known as the flank steak, this steak is derived from the lower chest area or the abdominal muscles. It is long, flat in shape and kind of rough, just like Onglet. The word 'Bavette' is actually French, given by French chefs to this kind of steak. For rare, each side takes about 3 to 4 minutes.

Fillet: This kind of steak is also known as tenderloin. It's boneless and is the most expensive one in the stock. It has a very buttery flavour. For medium rare, each side should be cooked for around 4 minutes.

Rib-Eye: The rib-eye is available in both bone and boneless forms. These are very juicy in taste, as they comprise a lot of fat. It comes from the upper ribcage. Around 4 to 6 minutes for medium-rare.

Rump: The rump steak is better served when both its sides are seasoned well enough with salt. If you want to serve rare rump steak, the cooking time is around 2-3 minutes. An additional minute will make it well cooked. The rump comes from the top half portion of the carcass.

Onglet: The name 'Onglet' is also French and in English, this kind of steak is better known as the 'Hanger' steak. It is juicy, V-shaped and tougher than other forms. 1-2 minutes for blue.

DIY Spicing of Food
Cooking is incomplete without the addition of spices. You can mix whatever seasoning you like of your own choice. It seems more natural to buy a pre-mixed blend, but those are usually more expensive. They contain more preservatives and artificial flavors than the raw ingredient.

Cajun Spice Blend:
 You can make the Cajun spice blend by adding a few ingredients, which include two tablespoons of cumin, two tablespoons of coriander. Two tablespoons of paprika, 1 ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 ½ teaspoon of black pepper, and you can add cayenne pepper for taste. It is the optional ingredient and one tablespoon of dried oregano. This spice blend can be easily made at home, eating natural and homemade spices are good for our health.

Greek Spice Blend:
 Greek spice blend is made by including one tablespoon of garlic powder, one tablespoon of dried basil, one tablespoon of dried oregano, 1 ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 ½ teaspoon of black pepper, 1 ½ teaspoon dried parsley, 1 ½ teaspoon of dried rosemary, 1 ½ teaspoon of dried thyme, and ¾ teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Adding these ingredients to the spices will give your dish a different and delicious taste.

Pumpkin Pie Spice:
 Pumpkin pie spice blend is not confusing to make. It includes ¼ cup ground cinnamon, two teaspoons of ground ginger, two teaspoons of ground nutmeg, two teaspoons of allspice, and one teaspoon of ground cloves. It is easy to make, and you can always make this fresh before making any dish, which includes a pumpkin spice blend.

 Lemon Pepper:
Lemon pepper is one of the most natural spice blends to make, which includes only three ingredients. That includes zest from three lemons, two tablespoons plus two teaspoons of black pepper, and two tablespoons of salt.

Curry Spice Blend:
 Curry is one of the delicious dishes and loved by many people. Curry spice blend includes two tablespoons of cumin powder, two tablespoons of ground coriander, two tablespoons of turmeric, 1 ½ teaspoon of ground cardamom, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
  
Italian Spice Blend:
The people of all ages love Italian food, and the Italian spice blend is made by including two tablespoons of dried basil, two tablespoons of dried oregano. It also contains one tablespoon of dried thyme, one tablespoon of dried rosemary, one tablespoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt. These are all the essential ingredients that are always available at home so we can make Italian spice blend conveniently.

Chili Seasoning:
 Chili seasoning includes all the essential ingredients. Two tablespoon chili powder, one teaspoon of cumin, one teaspoon of coriander, one teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon of salt, one teaspoon regular paprika, and one teaspoon smoked paprika.

Tacos Seasoning:
Tacos are commonly available all around the world. Taco seasoning includes two tablespoons of chili powder, two tablespoons of ground cumin, 1 ½ teaspoon of onion powder, 1 ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon of black pepper. You can add it if you want to as it is an optional ingredient, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of oregano.

Indian Sweet Spice Blend:

 The last one is an Indian sweet spice blend you can make this spice blend by including one teaspoon mustard seeds, ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds. ¼ teaspoon of hing, which is also called asafetida. ½ teaspoon of turmeric if you are adding add it for taste only and not more than ¾ teaspoon, one teaspoon of ground cumin, and ½ teaspoon of ground coriander.
