The novel coronavirus has bought the (almost) the whole world
to a standstill. Schools, businesses, and entertainment venues across the globe
have been closed down while residents are forced to stay inside their homes and
leave only for emergencies. As per health experts, the protocol of self-isolation
is the only treatment for the pandemic.
In this regard, Ipsos conducted a survey of 29,000 adults in
15 countries. They found that 82% of the youth aged between 18 – 35 are more
likely to self-isolate, opposed to 75% of 35 – 44 years old. The seniors who
are more at risk of the contagious respiratory illness are 76% more likely to
follow self-isolation.
The study also saw that women are more likely to follow the
practice, with 80% saying that they are following social distancing consistently,
while 80% of men agreed to do the same.
