What Makes Up a Quality Survey?

There’s nothing more integral to a quality survey than its question. If the questions are bad, the data produced is just as bad. Today, survey questions are shorter and more direct than ever. This is on purpose. Here are three survey mistakes that help to explain why.

American’s relationship with PTO in 2020

Taking time off from the daily work grind gives us time for rest, relaxation and recharging, however many Americans leave unused PTO on the table every year.

Potawatomi Hotel & Casino recently surveyed 2,000 full-time workers across the country to get a better understanding of their PTO habits and how they’ve spent their PTO in 2020. They wanted to see how PTO has changed from this year to last year and to see if people are using more or less PTO. Let’s take a deep dive into what they found.

American’s habits with PTO

For many people, taking PTO has looked a lot differently this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the stay at home orders and social distancing, many people are traveling less. Also, many American’s have been furloughed or laid off from their jobs meaning that they lost their access to their PTO.

Controlling happiness leads to more happiness

Happiness is the key to success in life. People who are happier live a stress-free life and it is found that happy people often have a longer lifespan. That being said, 89% of the people think that happiness can be controlled. This may be a fact but why control it when you can be publicly happy. A new survey has found that people who think happiness can be controlled and openly express their happiness are 32% happier than those who don’t.

The average happiness rating is 5.61 of people who think happiness is out of their control. On the contrary, people who think they can control their happiness have a happiness rating of 7.39. This is a very interesting revelation considering the two group of people.

4th of July Celebrations During COVID-19
The 4th of July is almost here, a special day for all Americans as it marks the independence day of the United States of America. It's no wonder that just like all events and occasions this year, this historic day will also need to be celebrated with extra care.

Here's the fun bit: approximately 1,200 people were surveyed and surprisingly, people associated with different political views were grouped according to their celebration plans. The survey was conducted by Nuwber, a company which analyses people's responses to carefully designed surveys, and releases data based upon it. This was a crucial one, as the situation has been at odds this year.
