Starting from Ash Wednesday, February 17th, 2020 and ending about six weeks later, right one night prior to Easter Sunday, the Lent festival is one of the most widely celebrated religious festivals for Christians. During the festival, Christians tend to swear off food and other activities such as social networking, alcohol consumption, joking around, having fun and more.
The infographic below reveals the festivities that are given up by the Christians during the Lent festival between 2016 to 2020. According to it, about 8.5 percent of people gave up social networking in the year 2016 in order to observe the festival whereas, by 2020, the percentage has been declined by 0.5 percent and about 8 percent of the people had given up social networking in 2020.
