Fatal vehicle accidents are tragically common in the United States. Some vehicle models and makes are safer than others. Vehicles have air bags, seat belts, and roll cages to help protect passengers in the event of an accident, but vehicles don’t have equal safety designs that are as successful as others. The team at Convoy Car Shipping shows us which vehicles are the deadliest by analyzing fatal crash statistics.

Automakers have invested plenty of time and money into
various fuel-saving technologies, over the past few decades. This includes
improvements such as direct injection, cylinder deactivation, and auto
start-stop features.
It is a difficult task to keep a track of the companies which have adopted these technologies. Luckily, the EPA’s 2022 Automotive Trends Report includes data that shows which automakers have adopted what technologies.
Uber drivers with iPhones will now be able to accept trip requests and navigate pick-up and drop-off spots via their car’s infotainment screen, via Apple CarPlay support offered on Uber’s app. Uber is initially rolling out the tool to drivers in the US.
Other than the ability to accept requests and navigating, Apple
CarPlay will allow drivers to add rides to their queue, view more route
options, see side streets in a better way, and check which areas are busy with
the help of heat maps. These processes will be made easier, as drivers won’t
need to look at their phones screens.
Tesla made quite a surprising announcement in January this
year, that it would be cutting prices on its vehicles by as much as 20%.
Even though price cuts are not new in the automotive world,
they surely are for Tesla. The company, which generally has been unable to keep
up with demand, has seen its order backlog shrink from 476,000 units in July
2022, to 74,000 in December 2022.
This has been attributed to robust production growth of
Tesla, which saw 2022 production increase 41% over 2021 (from 930,422 to
1,313,851 units).
Apparently, the days of “endless” demand of Tesla are over, Tesla
is going on the offensive by reducing its prices. This is a step that puts
pressure on competitors, but has also annoyed existing owners of this brand.
What is the most important factor you would look for, when
shopping for a new car? Statista states that it is neither design nor quality,
and not even safety, it is fuel efficiency.
Due to this reason, auto manufacturers are always looking
for clever ways to improve gas mileage in their cars. Beating the competition
by even the slightest of margins can give valuable bragging rights within a
segment.
This infographic uses data from the 2022 Automotive Trends
Report by EPA to list off the most fuel efficient cars from 1975 to 2023.

Although the current position of Tesla in the Electric Vehicles market is at stake, because of all the negative headlines surrounding the company and the increasingly controversial CEO Elon Musk in recent weeks, it is not to forget the fact that the company’s cars are still very popular. Despite Musk’s Twitter takeover and the instability that came with it, it is still very early to determine if these factors will have a significant negative impact on demand for Tesla’s cars. Also, because Tesla very clearly currently positions as the maker of the most popular electric cars in the United States and in many parts of the world.
In the United States today, electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular, and more Americans than ever are making the change. These vehicles can be a smart investment for drivers.
Data has shown that no vehicle on the road is more likely to get into a fatal accident than the Chevrolet Silverado.
