A song of Death and IMDb ratings: Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is one of the most phenomenal shows that has graced us with its presence on TV. Despite all the controversies, the show did pretty well in the rating department with a few episodes like the Rains of Castamere and The Battle of Bastards scoring a 9.9.

Minus the last couple of seasons, the show up to season 6 was always on the high in ratings with an average of a 9. The last two seasons felt very rushed, but they had their moments as well, but the viewers didn’t take the shanked seasons too well, probably because of all the buildup leading to nothing.

One of the main reasons that Game of Thrones is an exceptional show and high on IMDb ratings is its unpredictability, death, violence, gore, and the story plot. It was clear that a lot of money went into the production as the battle scenes looked like something that has never been seen before on TV. The first battle of Blackwater was our first taste of how well-crafted the battle scenes are.
