Twitter rolled out a new feature of “Quote Tweet” Count

The “Quote Tweets” feature was being tested the past week; however, Twitter finally launches the feature for its users. Twitter rolled out a feature that listed ‘Retweets’ and ‘Retweets with comments’ back in the month of May. This feature was highly appreciated by Twitter users as it provided efficient transparency on the Tweets engagements.

Not so long after the launch, Twitter changed the name of main retweets listings to ‘Retweets and comments’; however, the purpose was still the same, i.e., retweets and quote tweets were counted altogether. But, a few users found it unclear at first glance; hence Twitter started working on providing the users with separate listings for both ‘Quotes’ and ‘Quote Tweets,’ though the ‘Retweet’ count would still be there, that too, separate.
The better ‘Quotes’ looked to be displayed on the main screen as it covers a very little space, the more chances of it were to be unclear for many users. It has the potential to confuse the users as it is pretty unclear that what does it actually means.
Since many feedback reports have shown that handling Tweets is pretty tricky for several users, Twitter became extremely considerate and started working on improving its features in order to make the application easy-to-use for its users.

With the launch of ‘Quote Tweets,’ Twitter assumes that by releasing the update, they have made things easier and much understandable for its users. The update is designed to provide the users with better and detailed Tweet response activity right in one place that also contributed to providing more context.

Not to forget, Twitter recently released an update where users can restrict people from replying to their Tweets; however, in such cases, Quote Tweets would be the only way to respond to a particular Tweet. This update is not a big one, but it can have a significant influence on the users as it is likely to provide a better view of Tweet response activities that can result in sparking more engagements.
