How Americans Commute

What's your daily commute like? For Americans all across the United States, the commute can certainly be rough. This infographic which was brought to you by CentralParkBikeRental.nyc takes a look at the top 30 most populated Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) in the country for the means of transportation to work.

It also calculated percentages using ACS five-year estimates from 2017. Some of the statistics outlined in this infographic are pretty interesting! For example, did you know that in New York City, 31.15% of people use public transportation? Or that only 16.84% of San Francisco residents even use public transportation?

 In the United States, it was determined that 85.6% of all workers travel to their jobs via car, truck, or van. That's roughly 127,053,717 in total! Of that, the city that has the most lone drivers is Decatur, AL, at an astonishingly high rate of 89.11% residents!

Here are the Deadliest Jobs in the United States

What are the most dangerous jobs in the United States? This infographic from Teletrac Navman compares the danger of certain jobs against the compensation that they're associated with. It also factors in the fatality rate, which is based on 100,000 full-time workers (with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics).

According to this infographic from TeletracNavman.com, the top 5 deadliest occupations by fatality rate include logging workers, fishers and fishing workers, aircraft pilots and flight engineers, roofers, and recyclable material collectors. Logging workers ranks at the top of the list, with an average fatality rate of 135.9! That's alarmingly high, but it's not the only shocker on this infographic.

 Did you know that the top cause of fatal work injuries is transportation incidents? It occurs as an average rate of 2,083 out of 100,000! When it comes to the most fatalities, that would be for delivery truck drivers, where the average salary is only $39,790.
