Countless ships have sunk in seas and oceans all over the world, but these incidents can differ greatly, depending where in the world you are. From the team at Staten Island Yacht Sales comes this new infographic that analyzes which bodies of water have the most shipwrecks. The infographic notes that the data shown is backed on the 300 most recent shipwrecks that had actually been reported since February 11, 2023. Based on their team's findings, it was found that the Atlantic Ocean has seen the most shipwrecks with 25, followed by other notable bodies of water like the South China Sea with 17, the Black Sea with 13, the Pacific Ocean with 13, and the East China Sea with 12. There have been some famous shipwrecks throughout the course of time, most notably the RMS Titanic, which met its demise in 1912 when it crashed into an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean.
