Smartphones are the new fitness trainers

Now that fitness awareness has gained more popularity in various parts of the world and people are inclined towards their physical and mental fitness. Moreover, the Covid-19 restrictions left people with immense leisure time and that is what provoked a lot of them to work on their fitness.

Since most of the gymnasiums are closed due to the lockdowns whereas some are opened for a limited number of people, it gets hard to keep a track of your calories and find the best workout sessions depending on your physique. Therefore, a lot of people opted for fitness applications. The infographic below shows the results of the Statista Global Consumer Survey and after analyzing the results, it has been predicted that the fitness apps will contribute around $4,025 million of global revenue in the year 2021.
Around 34 percent of the respondents aged between 18-64 years from India said that they use fitness apps regularly and that makes India rank at the top of the list. Followed by the United Kingdom and Brazil with 26 percent and 25 percent of the respondents using fitness app in order to stay fit.

Other countries including China, Spain, and France settles at the bottom of the list with a comparatively low proportion of fitness application users.
