Facebook introduces message forward limit feature

Considering the fact that false and harmful viral information spreads much quicker than the real information, Facebook took a step and released an update of message forward limit. With this feature, a particular message can be forwarded to five groups or individual people at a time. Misinformation is likely to cause harm to society or people and creates nonsensical panic.

Since the world is going through the crises brought by Covid-19 pandemic and many states such as the USA, New Zealand and a few more countries have their elections soon, any fake news over the internet can cause big trouble.

In order to provide the people with a highly authentic piece of information on Covid-19, Facebook’s Coronavirus (Covid-19) Community Hub is there to give people real-time accurate information and safety guidelines. On the other hand, for elections and voting guidance, Facebook’s Voting Information Center which encourages people to stand for their rights, guide them through the registration process and help in making the voting much convenient in these tough times.

Launching of this feature will definitely help in preventing the pointless chaos created by some social media maniacs. Facebook wants its messenger to be a trustworthy yet safe platform for its users to connect with their family and friends. Facebook has been regularly working on the safety of its platform such as earlier this year, features like two-factor authentication, safety notifications, block and report spam messages, etc. were introduced.

Being safe online is something that every user dreams of, hence Facebook limited the spread of harmful and fake viral information to add in one more layer of protection and keep the Facebook family safe and satisfied.
