Let’s take a look at the updated Infographic below for the
number of coronavirus cases around the world.
The United States of America continues to lead with almost 2
million confirmed cases across the 50 states. The cases have seen a spike since
Memorial Day when several incidences of large gatherings, pool parties, and
picnics were reported.
As of this writing, Brazil has seen more than 740,000 cases
of COVID-19, while Russia has the third-highest number of infections with over
484,000 diagnoses.
Despite the rising number of cases, many countries across
the world are gradually lifting lockdowns and allowing the citizens freedom of
movement. Moreover, entertainment venues, air traffic, educational institutes, and
places of worship are also regaining normalcy after long periods of closure.
However, will the normalcy
give way for new cases of COVID-19, or following preventive measures will
contain the virus completely? Only time will give the answer.
