Facebook Adds Cartoonish 'Avatars' for US Users

Here's some exciting news for Facebook users in the US.

Facebook is has launched its Bitmoji-style Avatars for US users after successfully launching them in Australia last year and later in Europe in April. The news was confirmed by Fidhi Simo from Facebook that the cartoonish avatars will be made available in the US from 13th March.

The avatars look a lot like Bitmojis, and give users avatars that they can use in stickers and various tools in both the Facebook app and Messenger. Simo has also mentioned that users will soon be able to use them in more places.

So, Facebook has not only rolled out the avatar feature but will be introducing new ways to use them as well. 

Simo also noted that US users will be able to customize their Avatars:

"It’s important to us that you can personalize your avatar so it represents your unique, authentic self, which is why we’re also adding in a new range of customizations, too - such as new hairstyles, complexions, and outfits."

This does sound enticing, right? Now Facebook users in the US can have a Bitmoji like feature on Facebook which has been quite famous in the past few months in Australia and Europe and is a great way to personalize your engagements on the app.
