Ten Things You Can Do Legally if You Go to the Right Country

The world is ever more globalized. Every time I visit a new country, I feel less of a thrill of novelty, and less of an urge to shop for souvenirs, because more and more you see the same shops, the same shop fronts and the same ads on every street corner, whether you're in Madrid or Boston. Yet, thanks to the world's legal vagaries, there are some experiences that you will only (legally) have in some places.

The decriminalization of drugs–and marijuana in particular–is one of the great differences in legal systems around the world. However, there are some legal passtimes you may not have even considered. In South Africa, for example, you can add a flamethrower (an real, honest-to-god flame-spitting device) to your car without impact.
