Taking Care of Your Heart
Every year, May 17th is celebrated as World Hypertension Day, in order to raise awareness about diseases of the heart and clear the myths around hypertension and heart diseases.

The info-graphic shows some basic lifestyle changes that everyone should make in order to avoid high blood pressure aka hypertension. Most people do not understand that hypertension can lead to a lot of dangerous consequences, especially heart diseases, putting you at risk for other complications.

The info-graphic mentions that if you consume a healthy, and balanced diet, stay active, and stay away from consuming too much alcohol or smoking, you can decrease the risk of hypertension easily.

An important factor in diagnosing hypertension, and stopping it at the root before it spreads, is to keep checking your blood pressure, because high blood pressure does not have any discernible symptoms in most cases.
Taking care of yourself is the first step towards a healthier, stronger you!
