Signs of boredom in cats

Cats are bundles of happiness that add value to your life. Cats owners are emotionally attached to them and hence, they are extremely important in their lives. Cats, known for their playful behavior requires a lot of attention from their owners. At times whatever you do might not be enough and can make these little ones feel bored.  Many people are unaware as to why their cats show “abnormal” behavior when it could just be that the cat has reached unavoidable boredom. The infographic here shows the top five reasons as to how a cat would behave when bored.

The topmost sign is excessive sleeping. When the cats start sleeping more than usual,  it depicts that they have nothing interesting to do when awake so they prefer sleeping more than they stay awake. Secondly, they start craving food more than they used to, even when they are not hungry just to kill their boredom. Furthermore, if your cat suddenly reveals a destructive side of them, messing with their own things or going wild around the whole place, this could be taken as another sign or they could start being extremely keen about their own grooming and hence, overgrooming themselves. Lastly, they could be littering outside their litter box.

All these signs show that your cat is bored and needs more attention and playtime. If the problem persists, they should be rushed to a vet.
