Scientists have been on the search for the elements that make up our world for a very long time, since 9000 B.C.E. to be exact. Copper was the very first element to be discovered, followed by other popular metals gold, silver, iron, and lead. The Start of a New Base Metal Bull Market?

As expected, the Fear Trade boosted gold on safe haven demand. The yellow metal finished the week just under $1,300, a level we haven’t seen since November 2016. Last week, Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates.

The melting point is considered to be the temperature at which a substance changes it’s physical state from that of a solid to a liquid. It can also be the same temperature as the freezing point, which is the reverse process when a liquid changes into a solid.

Its ascending format starts out with the lowest melting point, also the freezing point, of Hydrogen at -434.4 degrees Fahrenheit, which is only 24 degrees warmer than that of the Boomerang Nebula. The chart ends with the highest melting point of Tantalum Carbide, a whopping 6,960 °F.

Although this high melting point doesn’t even come close to the temperature of the sun, which is 9,941°F! You may be surprised to find that substances such as beeswax have similar melting points to that of metals like potassium.
