Most and Least Powerful Passports in the World

Travelling can be as simple as just booking flights, finding a hotel, and, then simply flying, but it all depends on the passport you carry.

But for many people across the world, it is not that easy. A number of passport holders need to get a travel/tourist visa before their arrival. These visas normally require approval from the destination country’s government that can take a few weeks or months.

For example, Japanese passport holders are able to visit 193 countries without pre-approval (nearly every country on Earth). Afghans, on the other hand, can only visit 27 countries with the same level of ease.

The ranking shown here uses data from Henley & Partners, which determines the number of countries to which a passport holder has visa-free access.

It’s no secret that college has become outrageously expensive over the last few decades. In fact, in one decade alone (from 2008 to 2019), average tuition prices have risen by 35%. Over half of all students are struggling to fulfill their basic needs, such as food and housing, due to the financial pressures from their academic expenditures. Students that experience basic need insecurities are 15x more likely to fail a class and 80% of students in this situation are unable to graduate in 5 years.

The Top Most Visited Websites all over the World

According to some estimates, there are more than two billion websites in existence in 2023, but estimates vary.

If all these websites were to be ranked according to the traffic numbers they attract, a classic power law distribution would be seen. At the low end, the vast majority of these websites would be inactive, receiving little to no traffic. On the upper end of the ranking though, a handful of websites receive the lion’s share of internet traffic.

The infographic uses data from SimilarWeb, looks at the 50 websites that currently sit at the top of the ranking.

Tesla Announces Unbeatable Profit Margins

Tesla made quite a surprising announcement in January this year, that it would be cutting prices on its vehicles by as much as 20%.

Even though price cuts are not new in the automotive world, they surely are for Tesla. The company, which generally has been unable to keep up with demand, has seen its order backlog shrink from 476,000 units in July 2022, to 74,000 in December 2022.

This has been attributed to robust production growth of Tesla, which saw 2022 production increase 41% over 2021 (from 930,422 to 1,313,851 units).

Apparently, the days of “endless” demand of Tesla are over, Tesla is going on the offensive by reducing its prices. This is a step that puts pressure on competitors, but has also annoyed existing owners of this brand.
