What do you Aspire to be When You Grow Up?

Becoming an astronaut was a dream of many young children but it appears that this profession has lost some of its glamour, at least in the United Kingdom and the United States. Children in these regions are more interested in becoming a social media influencer rather than jetting off into space. Chinese children have opposite views, more than half (56 percent) of 8 to 12-year-olds said that they would most like to become an astronaut when they grow up and only 18 percent said they would become an influencer.

The infographic has the responses of nearly 3,000 children who were asked which profession they are most drawn to. The options given were: influencer/YouTuber, astronaut, teacher, professional athlete and a musician, as part of a 2019 study by The Harris Poll and Lego Group. They could choose up to three options.

What Kind of Foods do Astronauts Eat in Space?

Astronauts in space can eat many different types of foods such as fruits, peanut butter, chicken, beef, seafood, candy, baked goods and more. Coffee and tea can be brewed in space and orange juice, fruit punches and lemonade can provide astronauts with a taste of home as well. Eating in space requires some different tactics however. Astronauts can't shake salt and pepper on their food if it's bland, because the pepper flakes and salt crystals would fly around the ship and could cause problems with filters and equipment. Salt and pepper in space come in liquid form.

The Model Rocket Experience

Space programs require extreme caution and attention to detail towards their spacecraft. SpaceX and NASA are both the biggest space associations in the world right now. They both have collectively achieved so much about the space that it is exceptional. Space rockets require very delicate touches before launching off, but that hasn’t stopped people from enjoying model rocketry.

Model rocketry is very diverse and historic. Amateurs from all over the world have enjoyed constructing and launching their own model rockets. The art of model rocketry is more like a hobby that includes people of all ages, clubs, sizes, and rocket brands. However, not many know about the world of model rocketry, and hence the demand for its information as a hobby has increased.
