As part of the annual Studio Ghibli Fest, 14 of the Ghibli films are set to be screened in theatres across the US this year. The films will be available to watch both in English dubbing as well as subtitled versions with the original Japanese voiceover.

Since the 2017 Fest, this Studio Ghibli Fest will be putting on the largest number of Ghibli movies. They include titles like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, Howl’s Moving Castle and other Miyazaki classics; as well as those from other Ghibli directors like Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Hiroyuki Morita. In addition to the films, some exclusive content is expected for screening as well, as confirmed by film distributor Fathom Events.

The number of showings for each movie varies – for instance, the 20th-anniversary version of Howl’s Moving Castle will be screened for the longest duration, from 26th of September to 3rd of October, while NausicaƤ is getting just 3 screenings during one weekend in May.

Tickets for the shows can be purchased either directly from theatre box offices or via the distributors’ websites (Fathom Events and GKids). Studio Ghibli fans can even get a 25% discount for in-store purchases by presenting their Ghibli Fest ticket stub at a Hot Topic store.
