Microsoft’s AI chatbot Bing is being launched in a mobile
app version for both iOS and Android. The functionality will work pretty much
the same way as an app as it does on web.
After launching the revamped Bing two weeks ago, Microsoft quickly began receiving criticism from users over the bot responding with incorrect information and even insults. This led to updates including limited number of replies from the bot, and the option to choose from a variety of its tones.
In addition to being available as an app, Bing is also being
introduced in Skype as a contact. It can be used for having direct
conversations as well as by adding it to Skype chats for the purpose of getting
inspiration and recommendations.
Although Microsoft initially introduced Bing as a reinvention
of Search, it seems like the company is contradicting its own statement now, as
it explains that Bing is not a substitute for search. Instead, Microsoft is focused
on promoting the “new" Bing for its social and creative qualities.
