As part of Meta's new initiative dedicated to help creators be recognized for their work, Creator Week, the company has launched a new program for emerging creators called ‘Creators of Tomorrow.’ As per Meta, the program aims to celebrate creators’ endeavours for communities, culture, connection, and inclusivity.
The program will be functional in the US, where a total of 25 creators across 5 content categories will be selected. The categories are: Redefining Community, #NoFilter Empowerment, Creative Excellence, On the Rise, and Future-Ready.
The category of Redefining Community represents leaders that
work for social change, while #NoFilter Empowerment celebrates creators that
break down stereotypes through conversations revolving around wellbeing.
Creative Excellence will assess top creators who utilize self-expression in
unique ways, and On the Rise recognizes those who are making their mark on
popular culture. The final category, Future-Ready, is exclusively dedicated to Web3,
NFT and VR creators for their influence on the future of online culture.
Creators who will be chosen by the end of the program will
be granted support from Meta and its growing technologies to transform their
passions to professions. On the other hand, it will help Meta form strong,
connective relations with creators, which would ultimately help in endorsing
the virtual future that the tech giant has envisioned for the world - the Metaverse.
