Humans will have two sets of teeth in their lifetime. First a set of 20 at childhood that will fall out and be replaced by 32 permanent adult teeth by the age of 12 or 13. Looking at this map from the Dental Care Alliance, some kids will make a killing in today's tooth fairy prices with almost 9 dollars a tooth multiplied by 20! That is the average going price for kids living in Delaware. Judging by the map it looks like kids in Iowa, Wyoming, Massachusetts, Nebraska and Idaho are getting paid least per tooth from $2.30 to $2.64 respectively.
