YouTube expands Community Posting for creator channels

In order to provide the content creators better opportunities to engage with their audience, YouTube expands the access to the Community Posting tab. This will help the creators to interact with their followers about any upcoming content and keep them hooked.

Initially, the Community Posting tab was available for creator channels having followers more than a thousand. Through this tab, the creators can upload text updates, any GIFs, images, polls, or even video.

However, in the most recent announcement, YouTube stated that it is reducing the subscriber limit for channels to access this tab. The company stated:

“Starting October 12, 2021, we’re lowering the eligibility for Community posts from channels with 1,000 subscribers to all channels with over 500 subscribers. For channels under 500 subscribers, we are working to bring Community posts to you in the future. Note: It may take up to 1 week to see the option to create Community posts after your channel passes 500 subscribers.”
This will help more people to have better interaction with their audience and the potential to gain more followers will also be high. According to the company, YouTube has been working on the improvement of community posts for quite a long time now by adding different features of multi-image updates, post scheduling, and post metrics.

As the company ads Community post tab, it is removing the Discussion tab from all the channels on the platforms. The discussion tab is just an older version of the Community tab with the limitation of text-only posts. Another difference is that the Discussion tab is available for channels having more than 1000 subscribers whereas, the Community tab will have lower requirements.
