What is a Gout Diet Plan?

Health experts have crafted many diet plans for people with specific needs and concerns. For instance, people with allergies to certain ingredients have a diet plan that doesn't contain that particular substance. Similarly, there is a diet plan known as the Gout diet plan, for arthritic patients who are suffering specifically from the arthritis type known as gout.

Both men and women can be prone to the gout arthritis condition, which results in swelling and pain in any joint around the body. Though this is more likely to happen in the big toe. Like any other disease, gout has its stages as well, namely five of them, which can range in their intensities. But mainly gout is caused by excessive uric acid.

Too much uric acid can be stressful for your kidneys and they may not be able to excrete it all. The acid then begins to gather inside the body and eventually forms crystals. Some symptoms you may note are redness and inflammation, which can occur in other parts of the body other than the big toe, like in your fingers, elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.

Since gout can cause a lot of health issues like weight, complex medications, exposure to lead, and more, therefore using a specific diet plan helps to resist the consequences. Have a look at the infographic below for more information on the gout diet.
