COVID-19 pandemic is one of the worst things that has
happened to humanity. Many people have lost their lives and many are still
fighting it whereas the governments are doing what they can to prevent the situation
from getting worse. The virus spread like a wildfire earlier this year and is
still continuing to show its effects to this day.
Many governments took immediate action and had preventive
measures set in place to have their countries keep safe from the plague. The most
efficient and globally praised countries who handled the coronavirus pandemic
were South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan for their mass testing implementation and
efficient tracing and isolation strategies. New Zealand was the first country
to declare itself a COVID-free country.
While many countries did well to avoid the dangers, other
countries were criticized to handle the situation poorly mainly by implying the
lockdown later, when the situation got worse. The UK and US were the top
countries who were criticized by their own locals. Both of these countries are
currently the worse hit countries in the world. Previously, that title was held
by Italy and Spain but through their strict lockdown implementations, the
situation has gotten under control until the summer break when infection rates
are growing a medium to high rate again.
In these testing times, public opinion matters and people around
different countries were asked about their government and how well they handled
the situation. There were mixed reviews from most of the countries whereas, the
people in a few countries were happy that their government did well to contain
the situation. Few people had positive things to say, many had negative things
and it was an informative survey.
