As per today's news, Spotify announced the release of a new feature explicitly created for more interactive and exciting podcasts. Spotify is one of the most widely used music applications, and the company says that it has started to test the "polls." These polls will be interactive so that the viewers can answer the poll questions posted by the host during the podcasts.
Polls had been introduced to Facebook and Instagram a long time ago; hence, users must be pretty aware of how to use them. They can select their preferred answer and see the real-time percentages. No user will be able to see the poll results without participating in it.
Spotify will not force any of its users to participate in the poll; you can simply ignore the poll if you don't want to answer it. One thing to be noted is that the answers are entirely anonymous; no one will ever know which option you have chosen from a poll.
The main objective of introducing polls is to help the podcast host to understand their audience's interests well and get their ideas regarding content to create next. One poll per episode of a podcast can be posted, and one question can be asked in a single poll.
At the time of launch, this new feature has been made available for a small group for beta testing. The groups include The Rewatchables, Crime Countdown, and Incredible Feats with Dan Cummins. The company has been working on improving its podcasts by introducing various features from time to time, which is the reason Spotify stands out several other music apps.
