Why should Sulfur dioxide be eliminated from the face of the earth?

Countless harmful gases are making the survival of this earth difficult by the minute and need to be addressed immediately. Pollution is a sensitive subject, and yet one of the most pressing issues in today’s world. Its increase has not only contaminated cities after cities, but it has also put the lives of thousands of people at risk. A lot of factories tend to dump their waste materials into the water, which is a source of supply to hundreds of villages for irrigation purposes. Similarly, when industry leaves poisonous gases containing oil hanging in the air, when coal is left unused and when a volcano erupts it all starts affecting the environment in the form of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)

Dangers posed by sulfur dioxide

Sulfur dioxide is a dangerous substance for the entire human race. All of its properties point to the danger of living species, including plants, animals, and humans. SO2 can rob the green plants of their chlorophyll, animals of their life, and humans of their health. According to research, this pollutant causes fierce effects on a living body which is why its solution has become the new subject of interest.

Desulfurization methods to eradicate sulfur pollution

Two methods, namely raw coal desulfurization and oil desulfurization, have surfaced to battle the pollution caused by Sulfur. In the first method, three approaches are mentioned (refer to the infographic). In contrast, in the second method, four steps are briefly discussed through which pollution could be controlled and ultimately be eliminated from our lives for good.
