Parents' opinion on children's tech consumption

In a world where technology is dominating the era, it is hard to escape the luxuries technology brings. The kids today are given smartphones at a very young age for different reasons. Even toddlers have their eyes glued to the screen when parents put on children's content on a device, whether it a mobile phone, tablet or any other medium. It is clear that today's children get more exposure to technology at an early age than before.

Parents are sometimes worried about their kids who spend too much time on technology. In this regard, Porch conducted a survey and asked parents for their opinions on their children's use of technology and how it affects their relationships. The results were pretty obvious.
According to the survey, 38% of the parents keep an eye on the type of content their kids are consuming on their screens, 35% checked often, but not regularly, and 74% suggested that they monitor their children equally regardless of their gender. In comparison, 59% were biased between what girls watch and what boys watch.

It was also revealed that the majority of the children started using the technology after turning five, and it took children with ten years of age to be handed over a smartphone, gaming console or a personal computer. Surprisingly, most of the parents were satisfied with the amount of time their kid spends in front of the screen, while only 38% of parents admitted that their child spends too much time on it.
