In fact, WhatsApp Messenger is without a doubt the most used app around the world, and most people can’t imagine living without it.
This great little infographic from Statista highlights the top number of downloads among all apps on Play Store in the month of April last year. This was to roughly estimate the popularity and usage of these apps. WhatsApp swooped in as number one, with Messenger trailing in far behind at number two. This was followed by Facebook Lite, since the Facebook app tends to take up a lot of space.
TikTok, a new sensation in the digital world, was at number four with a whopping 26 million downloads, making it one of the biggest hits of 2019. The rest of the apps are mobile games, a favourite among adults and children alike.
