Few people are thinking about where their chicken comes from, or how p ends on their plate. Those who have a keen interest in the gym know chicken mostly as a healthy protein to help them gain muscle. Those who are less fitness-conscious, of course, may be part of the occasional fried chicken bucket. Yet neither camp spends much time worrying about the chickens ' lives before they hit the grocery stores–or how they could easily change those lives.
