As the popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) grow, we decided to capture the current feelings of the British public on the electric car movement and gauge their opinion on what would make them go electric. This infographic details the results from a 2,000 person survey, detailing the factors that would make consumers change to an electric vehicle.
Interestingly, only 15% of the 2,000 British motorists surveyed are planning to purchase an EV next year, with range, price and charger accessibility being key barriers to purchase. However, 60% of those who’ve made the move to an EV rate their vehicle as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’, so the grass might just be greener on the other side.
People are looking to employers too to help them convert, with 60% stating that employers should be legally obliged to install EV chargers at their workplaces. They're not alone though - 70% of those surveyed felt that new-build homes should have chargers installed as standard.
