Miliary drones aren’t talked about as much as the basic camera or beginner drone these days. And almost wherever you look you can find a Phantom recording some beautiful scenery. Even so, most people don’t know how to choose a drone and are not sure if they should invest a lot of money at first or just gradually.
In my experience, there’s no need to buy a thousand dollar drone when you can start with a cheaper under $100 quadcopter that won’t break the bank in case you crash it. This will enable you to learn the basics of flying and enjoy a first hand experience of how it it is to fly with a remote controller. The next step is to choose between the two main categories (after you got used to flying on the beginner one):
• Camera drone
• FPV drone (with Glasses)
Camera drones are the expensive ones that can cost over $1000 and they record in incredible quality and with a very stable image (thanks to a motorized gimbal).
FPV (first person view) drones are pretty much racing drones that go really fast and you can also attach a pair of FPV goggles to the system and see in real time what the drone sees. The experience is fascinating.
