This is not necessarily a bad habit (unless your doctor has recommended you cut back on the caffeine). The formation of bad habits follows the same pattern of "trigger to routine to reward" as a good habit does. It is the insidious nature of bad habits such as drug or alcohol addiction that can severely impact your brain and overall health. Ironically, the rewards for those bad habits are generated in the same areas of the brain. It is just that they are intensified to the max.
