Why 15 Well-Known brands changed their business Logo and how many did you notice?
Electrolux: Electrolux decided to keep the super-serif "E" icon and opted for the rest of the logo to look more appealing to a contemporary consumer.

Meidum: Meidum is a recognised publishing platform created by Twitter cofounder Ev Williams'. Medium chose to go from a single 'M' in Stag font to a unique geometric figure that blends sharp and round edges.

southern comfort: Southern Comfort's new logo was a small part of a complete brand overhaul with the main aim to increase sales volume. The concept was designed to taregt the more younger demogrpahic.

pizza hut: The main elements of the new logo are the iconic hut roof and script wordmark which remain. The new element is they are now placed inside a smear of tomato sauce to give a more modernised feel to the brand.

lenovo: Well known hardware manufacturer Lenovo opted for a new, straightforward logo that is intended to catch our attention by being placed on a wide variety of colored backgrounds.

coors: Coors Light were another brand who opted for a new contemporary logo. From the original loud and cartoonish logo well know to drinkers to a more contemporary feel that is designed to look its best on cans.

logitech: Logitech's original logo included an expressionist face which some say was outdated. The brand opted for a contemporary sans-serif look distinguished by a unique "g."

reebok: Only the second major logo change in the brand's 121 year history the new design is aimed at moving away from links to professional atheletes and towards what spokesman call the sport of fitness.

sonos: Sonos opted for a new logo and midway through design noticed that If you scroll up and down while viewing the following logo, the lines surrounding the Sonos wordmark appear to pulse, kind of like the speakers sold by the home audio company.

spotify: Spotify underwent a much-needed logo update in 2013, and this year again the brand gave it a new fresh color-scheme change accompanied by alternate color schemes that brought it beyond green.

facebook: Facebook being Facebook updated their logo rather than a redo. Eric Olson, creator of the old logo's font was again asked to design a font the company could call its own.

KFC: KFC have spent time and resource in the way the brand present's itself over the past decade. This year they decided to nostalgically return to the brand's roots and opted for a stripped down logo from Grand Army.

Dominos: Dominos opted to replace its current diamond-shaped logo with a more linear one that no longer includes the word "pizza." The brands menu stretches more then just Pizza and wanted the logo to reflect this.

Paypal: PayPal's new logo was designed to increase users perception of the brand alongside trust and inovation.The result is a system with a bolder wordmark, stronger monogram, more vibrant colors and a dynamic angle graphic.

Google: Google's logo change was the first in 16 years. The design was simple, replace the dated serif font with a cleaner one while retaining the childlike feel synonymous with the brand.
