Slack, the business communication platform is releasing a
new feature of clips, using which users can record video messages to share in
Slack channels. The purpose behind creating this option was to cut down on the
amount of meetings that are being hosted and help people from various time
zones to conveniently communicate with each other.
Users will be able to share clips in channels or through DMs
on Slack and clips will include live captions and a searchable transcript. Basically,
clips can be shared just like text messages or images in Slack, so they can
also be replied to with text, audio, video, or emoji.
