However, China – the epicenter of the disease recently reported
a dramatic decline in their daily diagnosis after quarantining around 60 million
people.
The coronavirus outbreak initially started in the Wuhan city
of China and since its discovery has reported over 80,000 cases and more than
3,000 fatalities. To contain the situation, the Chinese government effectively
started a quarantine protocol in order to stop the spread of the disease.
As a result, the Chinese health authorities saw a
significant decrease in daily reported cases of coronavirus. In fact, the
numbers have dwindled to 36 in the first week of March – whereas the country
was seeing more than 1,600 cases every day during the month of February.
Unfortunately, other countries of the world are not seeing
improvement in the scenario even after taking preventive measures of closing
down flights, schools, and public gatherings.
After China, Italy has the worst hit with 9,172 cases of coronavirus.
France, USA, and the UK are also seeing a great surge in the number of reported
cases daily.
