There
are many tips to improve productivity, many of the tips do work, but there are
some ways where our own body is trying to tell when the best time to do certain
things. Some studies found that the best time to learn new things is between10
am and 2 pm, and then from 4 pm to 10 pm. During these intervals, our brain is
in acquisition mode and willing to absorb new things and information.
Exercise can be done at 7:00 am because the
research suggests that exercising before breakfast is the most helpful in
losing weight and boosting our energy levels. The reason is that it sets up the
body for an all-day fat burn.
Coffee intake can be done at 9:45 am because
the stress hormone cortisol regulates the energy, which generally peaks between
8:00 am, and 9:00 am. So we must not likely need the boost until after
9:30.
The
best time for focus is 10:00 am because it is biologically the prime time,
which refers to the hours of the day when we have the most energy. To find our
BPT, we should try cutting all caffeine and alcohol from our diet and eat as
little sugar as possible. Wake up without an alarm, while keeping a log of our
hourly energy levels. It might not start at 10:00 am for some people.
The interview for the job can be done at 10:30
am. It is the most reasonably convenient time for the interviewer. They won't
feel rushed, and they probably have time to check their mail and get ready for
the appointment.
We
can take a break at 11:00 am because the research suggests that it is the best
time to take a mid-morning break. It is easier to restore our gradually
diminishing mental resources when we take a break closer to the start of the
workday.
A
nap can be taken between 2-3 pm because the mid-afternoon is the best time to
take nap, we typically experience some sleepiness after lunch, so a nap at this
time is less likely to interfere with the nighttime rest that naps later on.
A
meeting can be held at 3 pm a study found that 3 pm on Tuesday is the best time
for the team meeting. That is the time when everyone is most likely available.
Creative work can be done at 6 pm, where scientists
say that tasks that require a lot of attention also exhaust our inhibition, our
brain's capacity to filter out unnecessary information. So we should consider
tackling creative tasks right after work.
