Baking can be a challenge at times especially when you are new to it and are trying to find your feed amongst all these ingredients and what amounts to use, when to heat and to what temperature, when to open the oven and when to leave it to rise. Now imagine that without milk, eggs and normal flour.. you can't right? Well that is what happens when you are vegan or have an intollerance to wheat and gluten. But.. all is not lost, there is hope and that comes in the form of various alternatives for milk such as soya, coconut and almond milks, egg replacements are harder but it is a matter of finding a binding agent such as banana, jam's, nut butters and flax seeds. Gluten free flours come in the form of chickpea flour, buckwheat and cornmeals. Even some sugars and chocolates can be bad for people who are vegan or who have a allergy to caffeine. That is why carob and honey and sugar replacements are used in this graphic so that we cover a large spectrum of people. We hope that this makes baking easier for people with a certain beliefs and medical problems.
