Instagram is testing the “Limits” feature for comments

The company is focusing on the on-platform abuse and hence testing out “Limits” in order to avoid unwanted interactions. As a result of the test being carried out by the company, many users can see “Limits” options in their privacy settings.

This new feature allows the users to restrict unwanted messages and comments from a particular group of people. The company also says that based on your activity, it will suggest to you the group of people you would like to limit. However, you can turn off the limits feature for anyone you want manually from the settings.

With this feature, you can choose to limit the accounts that are not following you as well as your recent followers. Moreover, you can also make a choice for the temporary time period you would like to limit the interactions for.

The company has not yet rolled out this feature officially since it is being tested. If you are a part of the group that can see the test feature, try it out yourself and figure if this helps you or not.
