This infographic analyzed information on the 100 largest police departments across the United States to answer this question and find out which of these 100 departments are responsible for the most police homicides. The information analyzed even delves into further detail by comparing the race of the police homicide victims to see which of these departments have killed the most black citizens, as well as the most Hispanic citizens.
In terms of race, the Reno Police Department in Nevada finds themselves at the top of both lists with a rate of 71.5 per one million black citizens, and 13.1 per one million Hispanic citizens. As for the police department with the highest homicide rate of all citizens combined, St. Louis Metro PD in Missouri takes the top spot with 17.9 per one million citizens, far higher than the 4.6 average of all of the 100 police departments combined.
